2. The Service
Fantasy Map Generators is a free, browser-based fantasy map generator. It creates procedural fantasy maps — world maps, continents, islands and archipelagos — that you can edit and download as PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG files. The Service is provided free of charge, without accounts, and is supported by advertising.
3. Your maps — license and ownership
Maps you generate with the Service are yours. We grant you a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, publish and sell maps you create, for both personal and commercial purposes — including D&D and other TTRPG campaigns, novels, video games, streams, videos and printed materials. No attribution is required (though a mention is always appreciated).
Because maps are generated procedurally from numbered seeds, a similar map may theoretically be generated by another user with the same seed and settings. You may not claim exclusive ownership of the underlying generation algorithms or design system.
4. Our content
The Service itself — its code, site design, logos, text and documentation — remains our property and may not be copied, resold or redistributed as a competing product without written permission.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt it, or access it by automated means that degrade it for others.
- Do not use the Service or its outputs for unlawful, hateful or misleading purposes.
- Do not misrepresent maps generated here as hand-drawn commissions for paying clients without disclosure where such disclosure is required.
6. Advertising and third parties
The Service displays third-party advertising (including Google AdSense). We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or linked websites, and inclusion of an ad or link does not imply endorsement.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at all times.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed USD 0 — the price you paid to use the Service.
9. Changes to the Service and these terms
We may modify or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, and may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
