The short version
Fantasy Map Generators runs entirely in your browser. The maps you create are generated on your own device and are never uploaded to our servers. We do not require accounts and we cannot see the maps you make. The only personal data we receive is what you choose to send us through the contact page, and we use it solely to reply.
Information we do not collect
- No accounts or passwords, and no names or email addresses unless you contact us.
- No map data. Generation happens locally in your browser via JavaScript.
- No precise location data, contacts, or device files.
Information stored on your device
The site may store small preferences (such as your last generator settings) in your browser's local storage so the tool remembers them on your next visit. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
Cookies and advertising (Google AdSense)
We use third-party advertising, including Google AdSense, to keep this tool free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Log data and analytics
Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may record standard technical logs, including IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamps, for security and reliability purposes. We do not combine these logs with any personal identity.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, roughly which country visitors come from, what kind of device and browser they use, and which site referred them. Google Analytics sets cookies to do this and reports the data to us in aggregate; it does not tell us who you are, and it never sees the maps you make. Third-party links
Our pages may link to other websites (for example, virtual tabletop tools). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their policies separately.
Children's privacy
This site does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The tool collects no personal information from anyone, of any age, by design.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
